Agile on the Beach NZ, 2026

Over 20-22 March 2026 we will bring together up to 200 practitioners, speakers, sponsors, and guests to Taupō for 2.5 days of learning, connecting, and sharing. Yes, it’s an inland body of water, but it still has plenty of beautiful beaches, even if the water is a bit cooler.

Hosted at the Hilton Lake Taupō, the event blends world-class keynotes, TED-style talks, practical workshops, and hands-on masterclasses with a relaxed lakeside setting that makes conversations flow. From Friday morning masterclasses through to Sunday’s un-conference, it’s designed to spark new ideas, strengthen connections, to energise our community, help us evolve our practice, and leave ready to effect real change in the world.

What makes this event unique is its scale and spirit: large enough to draw international speakers and diverse perspectives, yet intentionally intimate so you can genuinely connect with others. Whether you’re joining for the first time or returning as part of the community, expect to leave with fresh insights, new relationships, and renewed energy for the challenges ahead.

Pronunciation guide: Taupō is pronounced toe-paw in its official Te Reo Māori form, where “au” forms a shorter vowel sound (as in the toe of your foot) and the macron on the “ō” elongates the vowel sound (as in the paw of your dog). While the Anglicised version tow-po is common, the Māori pronunciation is the preferred and more respectful way we’ll pronounce it at the conference.
