This page explains our terms and conditions for buying and using tickets for Events operated by Agile on the Beach NZ (AOTBNZ). By purchasing or using a ticket to the Event you agree to these Ticketing Terms.

Each section below opens with a one-line summary. If the summary and detailed wording that follows ever clash, the detailed wording wins.

If anything here is unclear, email trustees@agileonthebeach.co.nz.

All prices are NZD, GST-inclusive. Your contract is with AOTBNZ in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Ticket prices are shown inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST) in New Zealand dollars (NZD). We accept payment by bank transfer, credit card, or cash at the Event. Credit card payments are subject a processing fee set by Stripe, which is added at checkout and not returned if your ticket is refunded.

Your contract is with Agile on the Beach NZ Limited. Orders are processed by WooCommerce; ticketing is delivered via FooEvents; and payments are processed by Stripe, subject to their terms.

If we publish an obvious error (e.g., a manifest misprice), we will cancel and refund the affected order and correct the price before the Event takes place.

We have tiered ticketing; cheaper tiers are limited in number; higher tiers include more perks. Travel/accommodation are your responsibility.

We’ve moved from early bird discounts to tiered ticketing. Each tier has specific perks—see our Ticketing page for current tier descriptions, price, and quantity available.

Your ticket covers entry to the Event programme for the day(s) shown and any functions listed as included for your ticket type. Capacity limits may apply to specific rooms or sessions.

Travel, accommodation, and personal expenses aren’t included. Add-ons (e.g., masterclasses, merchandise, etc.) may have their own terms.

Want more perks? Upgrade (if stock exists). Can’t make it? Transfer. Refunds are limited but fair—especially if we can resell your seat for you.

Upgrades, transfers, resales, credits, and refunds are handled under our Upgrades, Transfers, Resale, and Refunds Policy (which forms part of these Ticketing Terms). In brief: we prioritise transfers, support upgrades if stock exists, and offer credits or refunds in line with the policy. Please follow the steps on that page so we can help quickly.

Speakers/schedule may change. If we cancel, you’re refunded. If we postpone or move online, you get a credit/transfer.

We may adjust programme items, speakers, timings, or rooms. If we cancel the Event, we’ll refund your ticket price and any booking fee in accordance with our Upgrades, Transfers, Resale, and Refunds Policy (we don’t cover travel or accommodation). If we postpone or materially change format (e.g., move online) due to circumstances beyond our control, we’ll offer a credit or transfer to the new date/format, or a refund—see the policy for how that works.

Be kind. Stay safe. Breaches may lead to removal without refund.

All participants must follow our Code of Conduct and the venue’s rules (including any alcohol/age restrictions). We may refuse, revoke, or remove access (without refund) for behaviour that risks safety or breaches the Code.

We capture the vibe. You can ask not to be in photos.

We may photograph/record the Event for community storytelling and cross-promotion. As a participant, you may appear in crowd shots; though if you prefer not to be photographed, tell us at registration and we’ll provide a subtle opt-out indicator where feasible. We will never sell images for commercial use.

Speakers retain IP in their materials and grant AOTBNZ a non-exclusive licence to record/share session footage/slides for community purposes unless otherwise agreed.

Use discounts fairly. No scalping.

  • Promo codes must be used at the time of purchase and cannot be applied retrospectively.
  • Any discounted or promotional tickets have eligibility criteria; we may ask for proof and void a ticket if the criteria aren’t met.
  • Complimentary tickets are at our discretion.
  • Tickets are for personal use and must not be resold for profit or used in promotions without our written consent.

We collect the minimum we need to run the Event.

We handle your information under our Privacy Policy and the Privacy Act 2020. Our ticketing/payment providers have their own terms and privacy notices.

We plan to run great events, but we can’t promise specific outcomes. Our liability is capped.

We’ll use reasonable skill and care, but cannot guarantee specific outcomes (e.g., new clients, jobs). To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you is capped at the ticket price paid, and we exclude indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or obligations under the Fair Trading Act 1986, nor excludes liability for fraud or personal injury caused by our negligence.

Aotearoa New Zealand law applies. We’ll time-stamp any updates.

These Ticketing Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand, and the New Zealand courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction.

We may update these Ticketing Terms from time to time, with any changes applying from the Last updated date shown at the top of this page. If the changes are material, we’ll also take reasonable steps to let you know (e.g., a notice on the Website).
