They say, “to everything there is a season“. Well, to every leadership team there are stages of growth and evolution as well.
Things have been quiet at the moment, as there was plenty to learn from our 2023 conference in Nelson. Through this, we’ve come to realise that leading a deeply connected community organisation like Agile on the Beach NZ takes a lot! Now some of our trustees are ready to step back to become ambassadors, leaving the space for some new energy and ideas.
This hiatus means we have time to review the mountain of suggestions on the theme of our next conference, as contributed by the community. We will also have the time to seek solid sponsors early enough for them to make allowances in their marketing and training budgets for the coming year.
We’ve come such a long way since early 2018 when I first floated the idea for Agile on the Beach being brought from Cornwall in the UK to our own beaches here in Aotearoa New Zealand. I strongly believe with this time to refocus, we will restart with energy and direction to carry us a lot further too.
