Biunca is a Business Agility Coach supporting business leaders to create culture first transformations. Passionate about people she is also the Director for Talent and Culture at EPiC Agile globally. Training as an instructor and youth leader from the age of 16 (New Zealand Cadet Forces) gave Biunca a unique perspective on what engages, inspires and helps people grow. Moving into the corporate world saw an eclectic portfolio of work which included sales, relationship management, reward and recognition programs, change management, learning programs, and organisation design, before entering the world of Agile and business agility. Biunca’s background has enabled her value both the individual and system view together to help create amazing places to work at clients and at home at EPiC (accredited as a Great Place to Work, and an Employer of Choice 2022).

We wanted to know - if we drank our own champagne could we build a self organising, self evolving organisation? One where you could choose your own leader, you had a plan for awesomeness just for you, and capability became our strategic advantage? Where experiments weren't just a catch phrase but embedded into our operating rhythm? In this session I'll share our journey over the last year to do just that - the decisions we made, the highs and lows and learning along the way.

Empowerment - we all have a role to play

So often 'I'm not empowered' can become a catch phrase, a pre-curser to disengagement and a self fulfilling prophecy. In this workshop we explore reframing empowerment - what is it, why we should pursue it, who is responsible for what, and diving deeper into how to enable true empowerment. We'll be exploring 4 different lenses - individual, team, leader and organisation. the considerations for each.
