About Dawie

Dawie his a leader of large-scale change in enterprises, creating product-managed, customer-led companies through the power of culture, people and technology.

Most recently Dawie led the design and adoption of new operating models, structures and working methods across the Business bank, Consumer bank, Customer engagement channels, Transformation teams, Business Control and Risk monitoring, and supporting units including Technology, Operations for the Westpac Group. This work was internally referred to as the ‘Lines of Business” transformation, sponsored by the Group CEO and is one of the pillars of the Group strategy.

He has also been privileged to lead large and complex technology and digital teams, and his mission has been to bring them from the back-office into the heart of execution of the company strategy. This has meant everything from engineering practice modernisation, method renewal, capability building, technology refresh and roadmaps, core system replacements and legacy modernisation to technology strategy and architecture redesign and refresh.
