Visualising systemic dysfuntion

masterclass with Noah Cantor

This class is aimed at helping you learn how to visualise the problems in any system (eg department, organisation, club). It will provide clarity over why efforts to introduce change usually fail. It will also introduce you to an approach that can create unity among people impacted by the system, and those who have the ability to change it. This unity is the first step toward successfully introducing any change.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Familiarity with Theory of Constraints and Systems Thinking

  • Understanding that the problems in complex systems are often not immediately obvious

  • Knowledge that it's possible to expose the complexity in a way that increases unity and collaboration, with some sense of how it's done

It won't be enough for you to totally master the skill, but it'll start you on the path.

About Noah

Noah started working in IT on a service desk over 20 years ago. He rapidly moved into back-end systems, eventually being responsible for anything that had an electric current running through it. Over time he realised that solving technical problems didn't solve people's problems, and he started looking into psychology, group dynamics, systems thinking, and a lot more.

Noah has spent the last 12 years or so looking at how organisations function, what they're trying to achieve, and helping them see what changes to make in order to actually get where they want to be.
